My mother has lived her whole life in the countryside.Although she did not receive much of a formaleducation, I grew up appreciating her wisdom,resilience and intelligence. In the course of mysubsequent public service, I came to see that thesequalities are shared by millions of rural womenaround the world.
我的母亲在农村度过一生。她受到的正规教育不多，但是我在成长过程中体会到了她的聪明、智慧和毅力。而在我日后的公务员生涯中，我认识到她的品质是全世界千百万农村妇女共同具有的品质。
